Planning an art workshop, book club, team gathering, or community meeting? Bring your group together at Birchwood Coffee in downtown Yellowknife.
We provide the space and café service. You organize your event, welcome your guests and make it your own.
$225 + tax · Three-hour booking · Monday to Wednesday evenings
Your booking includes:
Exclusive use of the café for your group.
A Birchwood staff member on site throughout your booking.
Use of our existing tables, chairs, and seating.
Café service with drinks and a limited selection of baked goods available to purchase.
Normal café cleaning after your event.
Food and drinks are charged separately from the booking fee. Guests can purchase individually, or you can arrange a prepaid order for your group.
Additional time is available at $75 + tax per hour, subject to availability and arranged in advance. Larger groups or events requiring additional staffing will receive a custom quote before booking.
Make time to settle in
Your three-hour booking includes setup, your event, and packing up.
For example:
5:30 pm: Arrive and set up
6–8 pm: Host your event
8–8:30 pm: Pack up and say your goodbyes

Coffee, tea, and something sweet
Our staff will offer a limited café menu of coffee, espresso drinks, tea, hot chocolate, and baked goods.
Want baking ready for everyone? Let us know when you inquire so we can discuss quantities and pricing. Selection and quantities are limited unless ordered in advance.
Private evening bookings do not include full kitchen service. Outside food, drinks, or alcohol must be discussed and approved before booking.
You host. We handle the café.
You’re responsible for organizing and promoting your event, managing any tickets or registrations, and providing your activity materials.
Our staff handle café service and remain on site throughout the booking. The kitchen, service counter, and café equipment are for Birchwood staff only.
Please leave tables and furniture as you found them and take your supplies and decorations with you. Normal cleaning is included; activity-related mess and any damage are the organizer’s responsibility.
Planning painting, crafts or another hands-on activity? Tell us about the materials and setup when you inquire so we can confirm that the space is suitable.
How to book

Complete the inquiry form below with your preferred date, timing, group size, and event details.
2. We’ll confirm the details.
We’ll review availability, staffing, and any special requests, then send your booking details and a payment link.
3. Secure your date.
Full payment confirms your reservation. Please wait for confirmation before advertising Birchwood as your venue or selling tickets.
Changes and cancellations
Cancellations received at least seven days before the booking start time are eligible for a full refund. Cancellations within seven days are non-refundable.
Date changes are subject to availability. If Birchwood needs to cancel your booking, we’ll refund the booking payment in full.
